HOW TO INTRODUCE A NEW TEACHING METHOD TO YOUR UNDERGRADUATE COURSE
In the October issue of Sexually Transmitted Infections, a paper is to be published which describes a controlled trial of a new form of teaching in GUMedicine. The paper provides the evidence base and the editors of STI thought that this was a unique opportunity for you to learn how to introduce the process.
Two of the study team, Dr Peters (Kings College Medical School, Guys & St Thomas' Campuses), and Francia Kinchington (School of Education at Greenwich University) have constructed a step-by-step "self-help" powerpoint presentation".
The presentation not only allows you a preview of the paper, but as you go through the slides you will have access to other key "pop-up boxes". To access these extra features, click on the purple text in the slides.
This presentation demonstrates how you can take a practical approach to introducing "new life" into your old course, as well as providing an interactive learning approach to the paper.
NB The paper available here has not been edited in any way. Please see the final edited version in the October issue for the finalised version.
