2016, ChemosphereCitation Excerpt :A031-101 and A017-201, respectively), modified and validated for analyzing urine samples (Kesner et al., 1994a, 1998). Urinary estrone 3-glucuronide (E13G) and pregnanediol 3-glucuronide (Pd3G) were measured using competitive double-antibody time-resolved fluoroimmunoassays (Kesner et al., 1994b). Urinary creatinine (Cr) was measured using a Vitros 250 Chemistry Analyzer (Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics) that employs a slide composed of a dry, multilayered analytical element coated on a polyester support (Findlay et al., 1985; Mauck et al., 1986).
Benchmark pregnancy rates and the assessment of post-coital contraceptives: An update
2015, ContraceptionCitation Excerpt :Day of ovulation was identified through serial changes in daily urinary hormones. Daily urinary levels of estrone-3-glucuronide (a primary urinary metabolite of estradiol) and pregnanediol-3-glucuronide (a metabolite of progesterone) were measured using competitive time-resolved fluoroimmunoassays [14]. Day of ovulation was defined using an algorithm based on the rapid change in the ratio of estrogen-to-progesterone metabolites around ovulation [15,16].

2015, Reproductive BioMedicine OnlineCitation Excerpt :Every third daily urine sample collected was assayed. Urinary estrone 3-glucuronide (E13G) was measured in triplicate using a competitive double-antibody time-resolved fluoroimmunoassay (Kesner et al., 1994; Legro et al., 2012). Total testosterone was measured in duplicate in hydrolyzed urine samples using a radioimmunoassay (Siemens Coat-A-Count; cat no. TKTT5).
Effects of gestational and lactational exposure to heptachlor epoxide on age at puberty and reproductive function in men and women
2013, Environmental ResearchCitation Excerpt :Samples were retrieved by study coordinators and stored at -18 °C in a University of Hawaii freezer before being shipped to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Endocrinology Laboratory and stored at −80 °C until assayed. Urinary luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), estrone 3-glucuronide (E13G), and pregnanediol 3-glucuronide (Pd3G) were assayed as previously described (Kesner et al., 1994a, 1994b, 1998). E13G and Pd3G are the principal metabolites of estradiol and progesterone, respectively, in the urine.
