CDC National AIDS Clearinghouse
A comprehensive information service designed to facilitate the sharing of information and educational resources, research findings and AIDS-related trends. Has links to other CDC sites dealing with clinical trials and treatment information. Also shares a large section on STD information (mostly US-based data) in the form of health policy documents, slides and STD & HIV Treatment Guidelines.
Gay Men's Health Crisis
A useful resource aimed particularly for people with AIDS, but also has information dealing with carers, HIV testing and safer sex.
HIV.NET Literature screening service
A free abstracting service provided by HIV.NET sponsored by pharmaceutical companies.JAMA AIDS Information Center
A very useful and popular site containing a vast collection of resources related to HIV infection and AIDS. These include a journal watch for HIV/AIDS papers, a JAMA archive, expert clinical advice forum, clinical practice guidelines, patient information and a link to other HIV/AIDS sites. Highly recommended.

National HIV Prevention Information Service
NHPIS is a free specialist information service managed by the Health Education Authority on behalf of the UK Department of Health. It aims to serve people with a professional interest in HIV prevention across England, but its resources on the web are currently limited to some FAQ's and a list of links. It does not cover treatment and care issues.UNAIDS

HIV treatment information
AIDSinfo
AIDSinfo is a central resource for current information on federally and privately funded clinical trials for AIDS patients and others infected with HIV. As the main dissemination point for federally approved HIV treatment and prevention guidelines, AIDSinfo provides information about the current treatment regimens for HIV infection and AIDS-related illnesses, including the prevention of HIV transmission from occupational exposure and mother-to-child transmission during pregnancy.AIDS Treatment Project (ATP)
ATP is a group of mostly HIV-positive people who are working to improve access and information about promising new treatments against HIV and AIDS. It produces a free weekly 'Doctor Fax' which is a summary of reports collated from conferences, journals and press releases. Medical commentaries are included.
