Announcement of new editor STI
Professor Jackie Cassell to take over Editorship of STI in August 2009

Jackie Cassell trained as a specialist both in venereology and public health, before becoming professor of primary care epidemiology at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, UK. She has published widely in the field of sexually transmitted infections, focusing on primary care and the impact of delayed care on disease transmission.
Jackie currently leads research on partner notification in primary care and other community settings, and is responsible for HIV and STI surveillance in the South East of England for the Health Protection Agency.
More recently, Jackie developed an interest in the potential of electronic patient records while working on sexually transmitted infections and HIV in general practice, and she now leads a research group working in this field. She continues her clinical work, in Eastbourne on the South Coast of England.
