Current serological tests for the diagnosis of syphilis, particularly non-treponemal tests, lack sensitivity in early infection.1 It has been proposed that the delay in treponemal antibody seroconversion may be exacerbated in individuals using doxycycline for postexposure prophylaxis (DoxyPEP).2
