    There was an error in an article published in the June 2007 issue of the journal (Basta MST, Sankar KN, Dayan M. Unilateral syphilitic perioptic neuritis in a patient coinfected with human immunodeficiency virus type 1. Sex Transm Infect 2007;83:183–4). “VDRL” is the abbreviation for “venereal disease research laboratory”, not for “venereal disease reference laboratory” as was printed.
