Mycoplasma genitalium and Chlamydia trachomatis are currently the most widespread pathogenic microorganisms that are responsible for causing urethritis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease and pathology of pregnancy. Presently, statistical records have identified the incidence of syphilis, gonorrhoea, chlamydiae, trichomoniasis, urogenital herpes and anogenital warts in the Russian Federation.
