The document emphasises that “It is essential that there is collaboration and integration between a broad range of organisations…” and recommends “joined-up provision that enables seamless patient journeys across a range of sexual health and other services… (including) primary, secondary and community settings”. It is timely, therefore, that this edict coincides with the revision of the UK national guideline on managing STIs and related conditions in primary care, produced jointly by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH).
