ORs were adjusted for partner number over the last three months, condom use (always vs not always), age and year of consultation. Denominator (N) is the total number of consultations for each population. The numerator (n) represents the number of cases diagnosed, STI positivity in each season is expressed as per cent (%), where the number of cases (n) divided by the total number of consultations (N).
p Values for OR and aOR: p<0.05*, p<0.01**, p<0.001***.
†Adjusted for number of partners and condom use in the past three months, age at consultation and year of consultation.
HSV, herpes simplex virus; NGU, non-gonococcal urethritis; PID, pelvic inflammatory disease.
